Below the towering Mt. Shasta the McCloud and Pit rivers pour into Lake Shasta. It is here that the Sacramento River begins its 382 mile journey to the California Delta. At this length the Sacramento River is the longest and most important river in California. Supporting thousands of species of fish, birds and mammals the Sacramento and its watershed is recognized as a national treasure.
The Sacramento River offers excellent fishing opportunities throughout the year. Trout and Salmon run in large schools within its banks. Conditioned by fast water and high flows the Rainbow Trout often grow to be 16-18 inches. Their strength and endurance makes for a great fight. The fall Salmon run brings 30-50 lb. King Salmon to the Sacramento River. Fishing these Kings is allowed under special regulations and require high end rods, tackle and of course a seasoned Xtreme Fishing Guide.
We invite you to spend a day on the Sacramento River and experience professional fishing on California's largest river. Make your reservations today! Call (559)760-5909.
